Kalian-El and Orin-El. The first two earth born Human-Kryptonian hybrids accepted internationally as the first ethnicity to be recognized in more than 50 years.
There family tree and genetic make-up are rather unconventional, and a result of one of many post-crisis "Earth" narratives.
The "Apocalypse and Darkseid" Superman conflict has always been a staple for the Superman stories. It's no secret that Superman has been made Darkseid's personal puppet of great destruction on occasion. On this one particular earth, Superman (Kal-El) was fortunate to have a twin, Jarek-El. One who was able to counter Darkseid's telepathic grip. The use of his own two son's expertise in temporal warfare. A type of warfare insufficiently developed but a highly used technology of the Apocalyptians. They never expected any "primitive" civilization to be capable this use of warfare. However it was highly developed on earth from 2043-2053 (via Jarek's sons, Kalian & Orin.)
Darkseid, capable of sending rudimentary messages into earth's past to some of his scouts on the floor, gravely under-estimated humanities mastery of several technologies, especially temporal mechanics and genetics/meta-genetics/xeno-genetics, and temporal-genetics. Jarek-El, Superman's brother, somehow knew he had to prevent Jor-El from sending him (Jarek) to earth, so there could not be two "Earth's Greatest Destroyers". Kal-El's destiny was the greater one, it was agreed.
Jarek: Kalian, Orin. I have a mission for the two of you.
Kalian: We're listening father, what is it.
Jarek: You are both of you now 16 and at an age where you must forge a fate, one defined by the nature of your characters. And now you have a destiny of your own to fulfill.
There cannot be two Kryptonians born of Krypton on earth by a certain year, when Darkseid discovers your uncle and I.
Orin: I'm not sure I like where this is leading to. Our technologies, all more than 300 years advanced than what earth currently has, have been dismantled at our request for their abuse and perversion. Certainly you're not suggesting that we perform such an act with a banned technology?
Jarek: You both have always been so clever. The answer is, Yes. You must return to Krypton in it's last days during it's final era. You must at all costs convince your grandfather, Jor-El from sending me on the space-ship to Earth otherwise...
Orin: Wait, won't this create the paradox best known as "The grandfather effect of temporal paradox?" Won't we cease to exist as well?
Kalian: Orin, I don't agree with father, but we both know that mother and her people are immune to changes in the time line. This in combination with our own technologies will protect us so to finish any other tasks.
But I do have to admit. I'm violently opposed to killing my father. Even if it be just by keeping him from leaving Krypton.
Two, then three month's of persistent push of this goal seemed inevitable as humanity was beginning to lose billions of people. Superman had become the "Earth's Greatest Destroyer." For some reason, unknown to Jarek, he was able to resist Darkseid's telepathic hold. Jarek was nowhere close to Superman's weight class. And inasmuch as two Kryptonians sharing common DNA, (making it significantly easier for Darkseid to pinpoint the two brother's position, earth would always be a target for great destruction, decontamination of temporal warfare or not.
Orin: I don't understand why you have to be eliminated from the time-line for earth to survive.
Jarek: Your mother and I, have decided that you and your brother with all of your knowledge and technologies will be our greatest defense. Hiding you in the past is the only way to accomplish this. Jarek: Your mother and her people are immortal, and are completely immune to changes in the timeline. Sending you back to 1904, regressed in age to 6 months (using your own technologies) is the best way.
Orin: You're both sending us to the stone ages where we can't even use any of our singularity (black-hole) harnessing technologies?! No vessels with interstellar propulsion systems?!
Jarek: Your missing the point. As scientists, researchers and Nobel laureates, you can do nothing for the current war efforts. By sending you into the past (1904), no one will ever think to look for either of you on Themyscira.
Diana: While no man may step foot on the island, Queen Hipolita tells me that there is no such law regarding two young babes of 6 months. At least not until they reach their boyhood of about 13 years of age or so. Your mother will then take you to what she calls, "Man's Land" and recruit you into the First World War, then called "The War to end all wars."
Kalian: No I think you're missing the point. Your saying that we're useless in the present, but not if we hide in the past.
Jarek: If that makes you feel better, then yes. That's exactly it. Scientists are not needed in the here and now during this war. But during an original invasion, warrior skills with 21st-23rd century knowledge will be a lethal and formidable power. You know this. As Kryptonians I expected you to understand this.
All Kryptonians must first be warriors, then enter their profession. We evolved, after all from a "Warrior cast" and not a "Hunter gather species." You will do this. It has now become your destiny.

During your genetic-temporal regression (your technologies Kalian & Orin) all of your memories, histories, knowledge and technologies will be encoded into your DNA as genetic-memory. Slowly you will uncover the completeness of your message and mission. Diana of today will send both of you through a portal, send a technology with necessary information and the two of you will be raised in the ways of "A born warrior". The once way of every Kryptonian.
Kalian: So basically you want us to become the first male amazons then! Very well father, let us begin. We will see our mother first before we embark on these journeys.
Jarek: This will be my farewell to you then. May Rao be with you both.
Kalian & Orin together: We're both Mormon. But if you wish, we will be both.
Diana: You won't remember this, but you will also grow to pay tribute to Athena and Zeus.
Kalian & Orin together: Oh come on. We've long since hypothesized that the gods of Olympus are a species that failed to move forward in evolution...
[Diana slaps both]
Kalian & Orin together: I mean... there are disbelievers and "Doubting-Thomas'" that would say so. Rao and Athena will be great for meditation.
